When: Saturday June 21, 2025

Where: South Butler Community Library (240 W. Main St., Saxonburg PA 16056) **Please Note: This tournament will be 45 minutes per side with a 5 second delay (instead of the usual 30min/d5 time control)

FORMAT:

•  4 Rounds (9:30AM, 11:15AM, 1:15PM, 3PM)

• 3 Sections: Scholastic (U800, K-12 ONLY), Premier (U1200), Championship (Open to All)

  • Playing up a section (or two) is an option if players are looking for an extra challenge

  • Players may choose to play down 1 section ONLY IF they are provisionally rated

• Time Control: 45 minutes per side + 5 second delay (clocks WILL be used in the Scholastic Section, but taking notation is OPTIONAL)

Other: Boards and pieces provided. All players in the Premier and Championship sections must take notation (click here for video on taking notation).

PRIZES:

• Championship: 1st: $120, 2nd: $80, 3rd: $50

• Premier: 1st: $80, 2nd: $50

• Scholastic: Prizes for top 3 (guaranteed). More prizes may be awarded if number of participants in the section is over 12.
