Private Chess Lessons

My name is Gabriel Petesch, and I am a full-time chess instructor who offers private chess lessons for students in the Pittsburgh Area. I am a Fide Master (FM) currently ranked 7th in Pennsylvania, with over 10 years of experience teaching private lessons.

Flexible Approach: I identify my student’s unique strengths and weaknesses- so my lessons are specific to each student.

Hard Work: I push my students to analyze positions for themselves instead of just giving them the answers right away. This sharpens their calculation and analysis skills.

All Ages/Skill Levels: I have taught students of all ages, from as young as 5 years old, to retired adults.

I am available for lessons online via Zoom, or in-person. My most popular lesson lengths are 45min or 1hr.
